Family doesn't begin with blood, nor does it end with it. It doesn't end with death, nor does it begin with life. Family begins the moment you decide that you would do anything for the person or people next to you. It begins the moment you realize that you would do anything for them. That no matter what happens in your life, you could never leave them. And it begins the moment they realize this same feeling towards you. Family doesn't end with death because that person is always in your heart because you have a promise to remember them and they have a promise to stand by your side and never leave you, no matter what happens.

Fire

Fire is a thing with a sparkling flame
And a hunger that is very hard to tame
It breathes
It dances
It lashes out
Destroys so much with a roaring shout
It explodes and hunts for its next kill
Although it can give some quite a thrill
It has not a heart
But a breathing soul
And it will always take its toll
Don't get caught
Fire likes to burn
And it can soon give a death
That you will probably yearn
And so now I must adjourn
For I've taught you all you need to learn
Remember, fire is alive
Breathing and dancing in the night...
But don't forget what fire yearns
And that is the more and more
It wishes to burn

Inspiration eludes me
Just like a fox
Coming just in sight
Then dashing away
And then I'm left frozen
With nothing to say
I'm stuck in a forest of white
Where there is nothing else in sight
So I sit alone
With my head in my hands
Wishing I was made of stone
I see red around me
My blood has made a deep stain
But I ignore the cuts
I'm numb anyway
My eyes become sealed shut
But it doesn't stop the tears
I can't open them
I don't want to confirm my fears
They don't want to see the red stains
That are revealing my pain
No
I just wish I could become a stone
Because I'm afraid to open my eyes
And find myself alone
